Join the volunteer crew

We have something for everyone, from being the first to greet thousands of participants, cheering them on as they take on the course, or handing out their hard earned finisher gear as they cross the finish line. Whatever you do as a volunteer, you’ll be at the heart of it all, creating life-changing experiences for everyone – including yourself.

You can browse all the available roles before you commit to anything. Every volunteer receives a free event Buff plus transferable priority registration for next year's race.

Volunteer roles will open Early September 2022.

'Volunteering at Ultra-Trail Australia was a life changing experience for me. To see so many people overcoming countless limitations in completing the 100km course gave me a new perspective on life. I am not a runner myself but somehow I feel that a little bit of their bravery rubbed off on me.'

- Hailey Brixton, Ottawa, Canada

'Volunteering at Ultra-Trail Australia, in all sincerity, is my favourite weekend of the entire year'
